Conformance Test Suites

The BSTS provides a comprehensive range of conformance and interoperability test suites to allow network equipment manufacturers and service providers to ensure their products meet the performance requirements set out in protocol specifications.

• Test Manager Integration Kit (E5576A)
  Use to create an Executable Test Suite (ETS) that will run under the Telecom Protocol Test Manager on the BSTS.
• TTCN Productivity Tools and Itex TTCN Editor (E7310A, E7313A)
  Use to generate executable test suites (ETS) in “C” code that can ultimately be run on a protocol analyzer such as Agilent’s Broadband Series Test System (BSTS), PT Series, or even an HP-UX workstation.
  

MultiService Interworking Applications Licenses (E7826A)

This solution includes the following test suites:

• ATM Forum LAN Emulation 1.0 Service Test Suite (E7293B) - Use to verify the conformance of the LAN Emulation Server (LES), the LAN Emulation Configuration Server (LECS) and the Broadcast and Unknown Server (BUS) of an Ethernet/IEEE 802.3 Emulated LAN to the ATM Forum LAN Emulation Over ATM 1.0 specification.
• Frame Relay Over ATM Network and Service Interworking Test Suite (E7840A) - Use to verify Frame Relay over ATM PVC Interworking functions.

ATM Traffic Automated Applications Licenses (E7836A)

This solution includes the following test suites:

• ATM Forum UNI 3.0 ATM Layer Conformance Test Suite for Intermediate Systems (E7820A) - Use to test the cell layer function at the UNI for ATM Intermediate Systems, e.g. ATM switches.
• ATM Forum UNI 3.0 ATM Layer Interoperability Test Suite for Intermediate Systems (E7821A) - An implementation of the ATM Forum ATM Layer Interoperability Abstract Test Suite (ATS) (document no.: ATM Forum/94-0229 Rev. 5).
• ATM Forum UNI 3.0 ATM Layer Conformance Test Suite for End Systems (E7822A) - Use to test the cell layer function at the UNI for ATM end systems or CPE such as routers, ATM interface cards, etc.
• ATM Forum UNI 3.1 ATM Layer Conformance Test Suite for Intermediate Systems (E7830A) - Use to test the cell layer function at the UNI for ATM Intermediate Systems, e.g. ATM switches.
• ATM Forum UNI 3.1 ATM Layer Interoperability Test Suite for Intermediate Systems (E7831A) - An implementation of the ATM Forum ATM Layer Interoperability Abstract Test Suite (ATS).
• ATM Forum UNI 3.1 ATM Layer Conformance Test Suite for End Systems (E7832A) - Use to test the cell layer function at the UNI for ATM End Systems or CPE such as routers, ATM interface cards, etc.

ATM Signalling Automated Applications Licenses (E7846A)

This solution includes the following test suites:

• ATM Forum UNI 3.0 Signalling Conformance ETS for the Network Side (E7823A) - Use test the Signalling layer at the UNI 3.0 for ATM Intermediate Systems (Network Side), such as ATM switches.
• ATM Forum UNI 3.1 Signalling Conformance Test Suite for the Network Side Part (E7833A, E7833C) - Use to test the Signalling layer at the UNI 3.1 for ATM Intermediate Systems (Network Side), such as ATM switches.
• ATM Forum UNI 3.1 Core Signalling Conformance Test Suite for the User Side (E7834A) - Use to test the Signalling layer at the UNI 3.1 for ATM End Systems (User Side), such as ATM interface cards.
• ATM Forum UNI 3.0/3.1 ILMI Address Registration ETS for User & Net Side (E7842A, E7843A) - Use to verify conformance to the ATM Forum UNI 3.0/3.1 Interim Local Management Interface (ILMI) Address Registration procedures.
• ATM Forum UNI 4.0 Signalling Conformance ETS for Network Side (E7844A) - Use to verify the conformance of an ATM intermediate system, such as an ATM switch, to the network side signalling requirements of the ATM Forum UNI 4.0 specification.
• ATM Forum UNI 4.0 Signalling Conformance ETS for User Side (E7845A) - Use to verify the conformance of ATM terminal equipment, such as an ATM NIC card, to the user side signalling requirements of the ATM Forum UNI 4.0 specification.
