Answers to your Questions
In regards to Agilent's recently announced
GMPLS RSVP Conformance what are the topology types that you
support? Also if a vendor doesn't implement all the aspects
of GMPLS drafts like the optical objects, will they be able
to use the conformance tester?
The GMPLS RSVP Conformance Test suite will able to test devices
that behave as Ingress, Egress or Interior GMPLS nodes. Also
if you have Ingress and Egress devices the conformance tester
will be able to simulate up to three interior GMPLS nodes.
We expect at least all the mandatory components of the drafts
to be implemented before the use of the conformance tester.
Most of the test cases only exercise the mandatory objects
and procedures, however there are few test cases that a vendor
will not be able to use if they have not implemented the optional
objects. Also for example if a vendor has not implemented
the Graceful deletion, the test will wait a while and execute
a Forced deletion procedure. The conformance tester also has
a flexible configuration environment that allows the user
to enable/disable RSVP Refresh Reduction and LMP components
of a test case.
