Improved under stress stability

NetPressure Release 3.7 SP1 implements a large number of enhancements aimed at increasing the stability and stress resilience of the NetworkTester traffic generation engine and graphical user interface.

Enhanced usability

Product usability was further improved with the addition of the new features such as ability to monitor and control the test interface ports parameters such as link status, link speed, duplex options and auto-negotiation protocol.

Outstanding defect resolutions

A large number of outstanding defects were resolved greatly contributing to product usability and performance. Among them:

• SIP Proxy support improvements
• PPPoE over VLANs support
• Capture/Replay error recovery

and many others.

Release 3.7

Test VoIP-aware Firewalls, Edge Routers, Intrusion Prevention Devices and Session Border Controllers

• Emulate SIP and H.323, mixed with data applications, DoS attacks, IPsec and SNMP on a single interface, to measure Voice quality and device performance.

Measure Voice/Video/Data and Triple Play

• Mix multiple client or server applications on a single interface and realistically measure QoS and real-time traffic prioritization.

Simulate proprietary protocols

• Capture and simulate proprietary but dominant protocols such as P2P, messaging and gaming to create a real-world application traffic mix.
• Multi-stream merge and session-based replay enable realistic simulation of thousands of users of complex applications, over mulitple access protocols, with unique port numbers and IP addresses to verify device scalability.

Benchmark SSL and HTTPS performance

• Characterize the performance of SSL accelerators, load balancers, firewalls and more with the new HTTPS Server emulation and new SSL and SSL/IPsec hardware acceleration.

Faster test results

• Enjoy faster NetPressure GUI responsiveness using the new rackmount and high-performance rackmount controller PCs.
• Speed test configuration and reporting using the innovative graph save/manipulation capabilities.
